While serving in Long-Term Care facilities, I started to notice that certain individuals could be much better served in the intimate environment of a home. I also noticed the extreme mental and emotional distress oftentimes caused by family members being cut off from their loved ones after moving into an institutional setting such as large nursing or assisted living facility. These individuals could not live independently, However, they also did not need full-time nursing care. instead, they just needed assistance with the simple activities of daily living such as transportation, meals, incontinence care, grooming, etc…
This sparked a passion in my heart to create Kare Culture Homemaker Services. It is my pleasure to support families in my community by creating supportive home environments that allow families to remain together. Our programs allow individuals with cognitive impairment to stay at home safely gain access to crucial support services and continue to enjoy the social and emotional benefits of remaining connected to their families and communities.
